- Mix well till a semi thick paste is formed then set aside.
- Place a clean pot on the cooker
- Pour 1 1/2 cups of water into the pot
- Cover the pot to allow the water boil
- Turn down the heat when it starts boiling
- Gently pour the cassava paste into the hot water while mixing immediately with the wooden spatula also known as omorogun or turning stick
- Continue this process till all the paste has been poured into the pot.
- Now mix very well to ensure that it all combines together and thickens well.
- After everything come together, use a spoon to scrape the fufu attached to the omorogun into the pot.
- Add 1/2 cup of water to the sides making sure that te water gets to the botttom of tthe pot. – (more water can be used depending on the quantity of the fufu being prepared)
- This is necessary to ensurre that the fufu is properly cooked.
- Cover the pot with a fitted lid and allow the fufu cook for 1-2 minutes on low heat.
- Mix well to combine well after cooking for the required minutes.
- It is advisable that fufu be stirred well for up to 3 – 5 minutes.
Cassava fufu is ready to be enjoyed with any soup of choice.

- Use the wet spoon to scoop the required quantity of fufu into the cling film
- Gently wrap the film over the fufu, ensuring that it is well covered.
